Professional Background
Prior to working with mortgages, Julie worked for technology consulting contractors serving various government agencies. She left that the security of that environment for the excitement of running her own enterprise and hasn't looked back.

Before working as a government contractor, Julie worked as a domestic and later international flight attendant. As a flight attendant, Julie learned valuable safety skills and procedures, but she also learned the value of customer service.

Family Background
Julie married Will in her early twenties and enjoyed all the benefits and endured all the growing pains of finding your soul mate early in life. She took a break from her career to stay home with her pre-schoolers, but returned to the work force after her boys were on their way.

Her father William McCaffrey was great man and doting father. He served his country in Korea and later in the Vietnam War. He retired at Fort Ord, near Monterey. She has fond memories of William McCaffrey whose generous spirit was appreciated by all who knew him. Both Julie's father William and her mother Suki were excellent cooks, and their love of cooking lives on in her to this day.

Interests
Julie is a "foodie". That means she enjoys cooking and she enjoys sampling foods from cooks around the world. Julie can cook many cuisines but her husband's favorite meals from Julie's kitchen are described below:

  • Enchiladas — Her homemade tomato sauce is heavenly and aromatic delight, infused with the spices of the New World and made hearty with fresh chicken broth. She wraps smoked and pulled chicken or beef in homemade tortillas and bakes.
  • Galbi — Rib meat on the bone is marinated in a brine of soy, green onions and secret Korean spices. Flash cooked over a flame and served with steamed rice and a half-dozen dozen different kimchees and side dishes.
  • Spaghetti with Meatballs — While her Korean and Mexican foods are so spicy they'll make you sweat, Julie's Italian fare is subtle but robust. She starts with roma tomatoes and just the right hint of Italian spices. Her meatballs are perfectly textured, almost crunchy on the outside neither firm nor soft on the outside. The flavor is understated but truly a gourmet treat.
  • Breakfast all day — Top quality scones, popovers, pancakes, waffles are childsplay for Julie. Her biscuits & gravy are the best thing for breakfast south of the Potomac.
  • Mazta-ball Soup — Sometimes its hard to believe that "Ju" doesn't have a little "Jew" in her background. Her Mazta-ball soup, sometimes just a simple chicken noodle soup is wonderful on a cold winter day.
  • Holiday Feast — Last but not least, Julie works for not less than two days preparing a Thanksgiving feast with everything from scratch. Her Thanksgiving Turkey is great, but it's not better than her Christmas Ham.

Julie is rare in that she is not only an excellent cook but also a skilled baker. She has made fresh breads such as bagels, English muffins, French loaves. She has experimented with pizza, but she has mastered desserts: pastries, pies, cakes and more. Is it any wonder why her husband was skinny when he met her but now is a bit round in the middle?

Julie also enjoys reading literary fiction. She plays social games and much more rarely she enjoys a strategy game. Her friends know and love her acerbic wit and insightful comments, but she measures strangers carefully before showing too much of herself.

Education
Julie attended elementary and high school in Monterey and Marina California. She has attended Old Dominion University. Julie has numerous certifications related to the mortgage industry and is a licensed mortgage broker in Virginia and Maryland.
